Working as a taxi entrepreneur
This article is meant for OP Light Entrepreneur users with Business ID.
The OP Light Entrepreneur service is a complete invoicing and accounting package for self-employed people. Usually, users of the service invoice for their work, but taxi drivers, for example, may receive their income directly to their own account through an intermediary service. Here are some tips on how to use the OP Light Entrepreneur service for taxi entrepreneurs.
Sales entries and taxation
Typically, taxi service providers pay the revenue directly into your own account on a weekly or monthly basis. You will also receive an income report, which you should keep safe.
In OP Light Entrepreneur, you can enter your income conveniently via the Cash Account function. By following the instructions, you can make a transfer to our customer asset account, where we will make the necessary deductions and add the income to your accounts. Please remember, that the VAT rate for taxi services is 10%.
Travel expenses and tax deductions
Our service is suitable for drivers whose business kilometers do not exceed 50% of the total sum of kilometers for the year. In this case, the car is considered as private property and you will receive deductions directly according to the kilometers driven.
You must keep a driver’s log of your business kilometers. You can download a ready-made excel driver’s log template from us, or you can use an alternative method such as a third-party application or a traditional bookstore driver’s log if you prefer.
By doing this, we enter the information to your tax return, and you get an additional deduction based on the number of kilometers driven. In 2024, the allowance is 0,57 € per km. No other car-related costs need or should be added, the kilometers are enough.
On the basis of this information, we maintain accounting and make the necessary tax returns and payments. You can concentrate on driving!
