How do I get access to the service?

You can register as an OP Light Entrepreneur on the registration page. When you register, you enter your personal and business details. You also authorise us in the Suomi.fi service to handle your tax affairs and accept the terms of service so that we can apply for a Business ID for you if needed.

1. Identify yourself with your online banking ID.
2. Confirm your email address.
3. Fill in your contact details and information about your business.
4. Authorise us in the Suomi.fi service to handle your tax matters.
5. If you don't have a Business ID yet, we will apply for one for you.
6. You are officially an entrepreneur.

If you already have a Business ID

You can also join the service if you already have a Business ID as a sole trader (toiminimi). When you identify yourself during registration, we receive information about your Business ID automatically, so you don't need to select anything separately. After registering, you complete your business details, and we check whether the service is suitable for you.

Being in the prepayment register is a requirement for using the service. If your Business ID is not in the register, we will apply for it on your behalf. You can decide yourself whether to join the VAT register, but you must join it if your sales exceed €20,000 in a calendar year.

Please note: The service uses single-entry bookkeeping. This means we don't prepare a balance sheet or financial statements for your business. Instead, we file the business tax return for you, as well as VAT returns if you are in the VAT register.
